Wheel of the Year: Lúnasa Ritual Kit for the First Harvest

$65.00

For this Lúnasa ritual kit, we meditate on community and our roles as healers and helpers, students and guides, planters and harvesters, as well as taking time to sit in the simple gratitude of the bounty and beauty that surrounds us. Included in this kit is a Ritual for Honoring Mentors for grounding & expressing gratitude for our community and those who have helped foster your inner power and bring forth your life vision.

I reflected these connections through creating an Herbal First Aid Kit that can be shared to help others in times of need. The product selections were chosen for their properties in addressing common ailments, with each featuring medicinal plants from the gardens and wild areas surrounding Roots & Sky’s homestead- handcrafted to reflect the bounty of the season. This herbal first aid kit is a great companion during outdoor adventures- from picnics and camping to working in the garden. The products treat scrapes and stop bleeding, ease bug bites and rash itchiness, and heal bruises or muscle soreness.

Roots and Sky’s Herbal First Aid Kit

Yarrow & Cayenne Styptic Powder for clotting minor cuts, scrapes, and shaving nicks

Naturesporin Antiseptic Ointment for minor cuts, scrapes and abrasions

Plantain & Peppermint Cooling Salve for itchy bug bites and rashes, healing wounds, cuts, scrapes and burns

Arnica Bruise Healing Salve for healing sprains, strains, bruising, muscle soreness, joint pain, and varicose veins

This kit’s ritual item is an Ecoprinted Altar Cloth handmade by Amanda Derocher the owner and creator of Flora + Fungi Apothecary through her fiber arts project Daughter of Trees in Northeastern Michigan. Each Ecoprinted Altar Cloth is one of a kind, created with a unique design of foraged botanicals individually arranged on the mordanted cloth and steamed to release their natural pigments.

Plus a handmade zine with so much more on Lúnasa traditions and modern practices, ritual suggestions, altar ideas and journal prompts, recipes, harvest goddesses, how to dry and save seeds, woven harvest dollies, and a profile on this month’s collaborator Amanda Derocher of Daughter of Trees and creator of Flora + Fungi Apothecary!
